[Contract] Request for Proposal: Part-Time Project Manager (consultancy)

Under the direction of the FSC Executive Director, the part-time Project Manager will collaborate with the FSC team and board to create and implement a business plan related to new membership models, innovative events as well as revenue generation. The ideal candidate will be familiar with membership-based organizations, federal government grant and contribution agreements and be highly experienced in project management. Knowledge and experience in the food movement is an asset qualification and, ideally, the individual should be based in Montreal. Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in French would be desirable. 

We envisage a time commitment of up to two days per week for a maximum of $20,000 for one year with the consultant working with his/her own equipment from their own premises with frequent meetings with staff in the Montreal office and, when appropriate, FSC Board members. Interested individuals should submit a maximum two page cover letter, maximum three page CV and the names of two references by Friday, August 23rd to admin@foodsecurecanada.org. The application should include concrete examples of successful project management including developing timelines, deliverables, liaising with funders and demonstration of excellence in communications, tact, diplomacy and inclusive project design and execution. Self-identification as and / or experience with First Nations, Métis and Inuit communities as well as people of colour will be given priority if all other competencies are met.
