The world around us continues to intensively transform, prompting many of us to rethink how we saw life on this planet and ourselves prior to the global pandemic. The past months have also strengthened our resolve to dive deeper into issues of systemic racism and colonialism and their impacts on the food system. Watch this space as we collectively engage in deep introspection about the implications of various systems of privilege and oppression with respect to food and other necessities of life. Over the past several months, we have worked with our partners to share knowledge, promote networking and engage in advocacy at the federal level to push for sweeping food system change by meeting with several federal cabinet ministers and engaging in a letter-writing campaign that reached out to 37% of ridings further to the release of our evergreen policy action plan, Growing Resilience and Equity.
