Bits & Bytes was created to support the efforts of people to increase food security in their communities. There are many great resources “out there” and this website is intended to make it easier for people to find the information they need to support their own work.
A secondary purpose is to strengthen the community of people doing food security work and to foster collaboration among and between them. As we all use and add to this website, it will continuously expand and become a more rich and valuable support.
Users of the database are encouraged to upload resources they have found helpful in their work on community food security. A range of media can be uploaded, from various document types (rich text format, docs, pdfs, etc) to video (films) and audio (podcasts or other voice recordings). Video will be made available on the website via an embedded link to a video websites such as Viddler and YouTube.
We welcome your feedback on Bits and Bytes. Please email us with your questions or suggestions.
